It starts out really fast, as I've previously mentioned, which is definitely a good thing, but the exposition in particular was rushed a bit too much. I suppose the main issue of the film would be pacing. I did find an issue with the future cast's lines (particularly Patrick Stewart's) in the beginning though because it was so fast-paced-we're literally dropped right smack in the middle of battle-there was practically no time to properly build the world and context that the movie was happening in and Stewart's lines, which were supposed to be the most dramatic and impactful, fell a bit flat and came off melodramatic because the we the audience didn't have a reason to care. Look, when you have a main cast comprised of Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, the acting is undoubtedly going to be good. The rest of the acting was also excellent. He played a kickass Quicksilver, and the allusions to his father were nice little details for the comic book fans. His action sequence (yes, sequence-he only in the first 1/3 of the film) was the best super-speed sequence I've ever seen and it's nice that the filmmakers decided to abide by a few real physical rules in their portrayal of his super-speed. Evan Peters' acting was on point, delivering his lines with wit and charisma. Quicksilver is undoubtedly the best part of the film. The more subtle visual effects, like the out-of-focus camerawork and colour grading in a certain time-bending telepathic conversation scene between two characters, was well done too. Sunspot is undoubtedly going to look dated in a couple of years, but I suppose that doesn't really matter too much. Blink's abilities ("Now you're thinking with Portals!") and the way it was represented on screen was cool as shit, Ice Man's CGI is way beyond his CGI in Last Stand and the slow motion sequences (especially considering the context in which they happened) were, again, super cool.
